Accounting Associate (A.A.S.) Degree

Program Description

The primary objective of Bramson ORT College's Accounting Associate Degree (A.A.S.) program is to train students to become successful and effective junior accountants, junior auditors, cost clerks and tax examiner trainees. To achieve this goal, the associate degree program is designed to provide students with a solid, core competency in general accountancy practices, procedures, concepts and theory.

In order to effectively prepare students for professional long-lasting careers in accounting the Associate Degree program covers an array of topics from cost accounting to taxation for individuals, partnerships and corporations. All accounting courses are taught by highly experienced and knowledgeable instructors who carry at least a CPA or masters degree. The program also gives students the opportunity to receive hands-on training (through an accounting internship) that will accelerate their studies and make them highly competitive individuals in the job market.

Bramson ORT College's high job placement rate has led accounting graduates to advance to positions as accountants, auditors, managers, and tax examiners in a variety of businesses, industries and sectors.

Credits obtained by students while in the Accounting program are transferable to four-year programs at other colleges and universities worldwide. In order to earn the Accounting Associate Degree at Bramson ORT College, a student must complete at least 60 credits.
