Medical Office Assistant Program
A new Medical Assistant Program has been introduced to meet the growing demand for health care professionals. In fact, the Bureau of Labor Statistics has recently reported that employment of medical assistants is expected to grow rapidly as the health service industry expands. This program will be administered as an Associate Degree program at Bramson ORT College and as Certificate programs at Los Angeles ORT Technical Institute and Zarem-Golde Technical Institute.
The curriculum is designed to prepare graduates to be multi-skilled Medical Assistants, who work with and under the direction of a physician in clinical and administrative aspects of a physician’s office or other medical setting. Courses can include Human Anatomy and Physiology, Medical Office Administrative Procedures, Medical Terminology, and Medical Internship.
Student reaction to this program has been extremely positive and students are eager to put their skills to work in a developing job market.

This courses will introduce the student to the basic tools used to build and deploy portable Java-based web applets and non-web applications. Students will gain an understanding of JAVA's syntax with ATW and learn how to take advantage of the major class libraries and graphics user interface which are part of the JAVA programming environment. |

This courses will provide students with an understanding of Visual BASIC instructions and, their application to the solution of commercial and scientific problems. The students will be introduced to the programming environment, controls, visual tools and code syntax necessary to produce programs, quality databases and internet applications. |
Human Anatomy
and Physiology
SC 161 |
Introduction to fundamental concepts and defining characteristics of data base management. Students will study the relational, network, and client server models of data base systems and powerful management and administration tools in the multi-user environment. Exercises will be drawn from MS Access and SQL Server. |
