Black History Month
Bramson ORT College students celebrate Black History Month.

A Tour to Frick Collection
Visiting the Frick Collection is like going to visit your old friend’s house. This friend has great taste in art, and a beautiful mansion in possibly the prettiest part of New York! All adults should take the time to visit this small collection.

Trip to Gracie Mansion
On February 27, 2007 a group of Bramson ORT College students visited Gracie Mansion, the official residence of the Mayor of New York, one of New York’s most treasured landmarks. Gracie Mansion, built in 1799, has been home to New York City’s Mayors since 1942, and was designated the “People’s House” in 2002, providing increased accessibility to the public, especially to school groups.
After trip to the House, the students had a better appreciation of the legacy of early New Yorkers and they were inspired to learn more about rich and exciting history of our City.

Trip to Rockefeller Center
On August 1, 2007 a group of Bramson ORT College students visited Rockefeller Center. The Rockefeller Center Tour celebrates the rich history and exciting present of New York’s architectural jewel. The center was the ambitious vision of John D. Rockefeller, Jr. and hosts over 100 breathtaking works of art. In addition to housing NBC, Radio Music Hall and Christie’s Auction House, Rockefeller Plaza is also the home of the world famous skating rink visited by over half a million people every year. The students were happy and impressed by this tour.

A Tour to the Largest Museum in the Western Hemisphere
A college tour to the Metropolitan Museum of Art was held on October 24, 2007.
The Metropolitan Museum of Art was founded in 1870. In 1880 it moved to its
Present location in Central Park.
The students were very happy to visit the largest museum in the Western hemisphere. We started our highlight tour from the lobby where a wonderful guide
was waiting for us. The students were shown the outstanding collections of medieval arts. They saw Greek and Roman sculptures, decorative art, costumes and drawings from the Renaissance through the twenty first century.
The students felt quite happy and enjoyed the tour. For some of them who have recently come to the U.S., it was an outstanding experience and they acknowledged the wonderful world culture centered in New York.
